Koenigsegg is presenting the brand new 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show on March 2011. The 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R The Lightweight Hypercar has shape to be purely functional with no added features except those purely needed to meet regulation, added safety, ergonomics, practicality and aerodynamics.

As a Hypercar the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R is powered by 5 litre V8 Twin Turbo engine that produces more than 900 hp on 95 octane regular fuel, and more than 1100 hp on E85 bio fuel. The Agera R format the engine has a peak torque of 1200 Nm over a 3300 rpm rev range, showing great flexibility. The Agera R present 7 speed gearbox with dual clutch system for a single input shaft gearbox. The transmission can also be set in full auto mode. The transmission weighs just only 81 kg, which is by far the lightest 7 speed Hypercar transmission in the world.

The Agera R chassis use unique carbon fibre monocoque that designed to achieve its maximum stiffness but still lightweight. The Koenigsegg carbon monocoque chassis has a stiffness of 65.000 Nm/deg and only weighs 70 kg including the integrated fuel tanks.

The Agera R features with RTD (Rear Triplex Damper) system, that can maintain true suspension geometries for handling, but still have the anti-squat feature and harvest other new found benefits.

The Agera R is equipped with the absolutely latest ABS technology and is based upon, a very lightweight and performance oriented, racing ABS system. The system makes it possible for the ABS function to react to differently depending on performance mode.

The Agera R is equipped with VGR (Vortex Generating Rim spokes) smart wheels that are not only for looks but they are real air turbines, increasing the down force of the car by measurable amounts and improve brake cooling. The VGR wheel will bandaged with dedicated Michelin tires.

For get better aerodynamics the Agera R also equipped with Dynamic rear wing that works hydraulically, generate massive amounts of down force in low to medium speed and less down force in very high speed, in order not to overload the tires and not to create too much drag.
